Kim Kardashian can’t stop the future.
On Season 6, Episode 3 of “The Kardashians,” Kardashian said that she’s visited psychics — and they’ve all shared the same advice about daughter North West’s burgeoning career.
“Every time I go to a medium or something, they always say, ‘Your dad’s coming through to tell you that you’re not going to be able to stop North. She wants to have a big career. You’re not going to be able to hold it back,’” she said. “For years everyone’s been telling me.”
As Kardashian said that in her confessional, a blue light flashed behind her. She didn’t notice what had happened until someone from production brought it to her attention.
“Did anybody see that light go off when you were saying that?” a crew member said.
“No,” Kardashian replied. “Really?”
She then smiled and said, “Was it my dad telling me that it’s OK to believe in it? I need to get on the phone with a medium soon.”
Kardashian’s father, Robert Kardashian, died in 2003 at the age of 59. Her oldest daughter, North, was born 10 years later, in 2013. The conversation came as Kardashian was preparing for North to perform as (https://www.today.com/popculture/movies/lion-king-north-west-blue-ivy-carter-rcna151486 “”)” at the Hollywood Bowl.
This season of “The Kardashians,” the mogul has been struggling with sharing the spotlight with her 10-year-old daughter, whom she shares with ex-husband Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
“I really wasn’t planning on being a momager for another 10 years,” she told her sister Khloé Kardashian.
Elaborating in a confessional, the Skims founder said, “I still have 10 years of work that I want to do. I still want to be me. I still have more to do. Every day that she is busy doing something is a day that I can’t work because she’s not doing anything where I can’t be there the whole time.”
Kris Jenner, who has embraced the momager role, commented on her daughter’s conundrum in her own confessional.
“Kim is a little bit anxious about becoming a momager, and you don’t really pick your time. It’s not something that you plan. You just have to embrace it. She’s going to do just fine.”
