7 Different Planting Methods For Growing Potatoe

The Wire Cylinder Method (Ideal for Wet Grounds):

Shape a cylinder using 6mm mesh fabric, plant seed potatoes, and cover them with soil as they grow. Lift the cylinder for harvesting. Ideal for wet climates, providing good drainage. However, results may be subpar in regions with dry and hot springs and summers.

The Grow Bag Method (Easiest Harvest):

Use commercial grow bags made of dense polypropylene. Plant seed potatoes, adding soil as they grow until the bag is full. Turn the bag on its side to harvest. Convenient and space-efficient, but it can be a pricier option.

The Garbage Bag Method (To Avoid):

Fill a large plastic trash bag similarly to a grow bag. While suitable for situations where in-ground planting is not feasible, the yield may be limited, and the thin plastic can lead to excessive soil heating.
